Glencore agrees to plead guilty to corruption charges

The commodities giant Glencore has agreed to plead guilty to corruption charges in the United States and the United Kingdom. It will pay more than $1 billion to end a five-year investigation into corporate malpractice. It was accused of directing traders to fix the oil market as well as using bribes to secure business in half a dozen countries, mostly in Africa.
