In my interview with Derrick Varn for Varn Vlog, we dived deep into the 1990s and 2000s and talked about not only nu metal, but metalcore as well. A somewhat edgy response to the commercial success of Nu Metal. I am pleased to have the opportunity to speak today with one of my favorite vocalists of the late 1990s and early 2000s. With a blend of hardcore punk and metal precision, the genre, for many is a perfect combination. He was a pioneer in the field of metalcore, and some even claim he was responsible for influencing the fashion as well as the sound of the genre.
