A notion created by academic Kimberle Crenshaw that arose in conjunction with critical race theory, intersectionality became so popular it was weaponized by Hillary Clinton in her 2016 presidential election bid. Is intersectionality anything more than a plea for equality of distribution, recognition, and opportunity in a capitalist political economy that is rooted inequality and exploitation.
