This is going to be the first of hopefully many more movie reviews with Lisha.  We had a lengthy conversation a week ago about doing something together, and using pop culture to tell a more broad story is kinda my thing.     Nomadland is the award winning 2020 film based on the non-fiction book of the same name by writer Jessica Bruder.  Her book, a more telling and honest story of a new class of itinerant worker, the elderly.  People displaced the financial tragedy of 2008 with no savings and many underwater on their homes living in RV's and vans making up America's workforce.   While the book is a very honest portrayal and some great investigative journalism, the movie is almost Amazon propaganda.  Not really showing the exploitation, but rather giving us a tale of the untamed West, an almost manifest destiny of the new millenium.   Chris Hedges Interview w/ Jessica Bruder: https://youtu.be/wJrGhfaiz9I   Opening interview clip can be heard in its entirety here: https://youtu.be/0kf0LKPaKYA   Thank you guys again for taking the time to check this out.  We appreciate each and everyone of you.  If you have the means, and you feel so inclined, BECOME A PATRON!
