Dan Zangrilli on recent Pirates play

Pirates pre-post game host Dan Zangrilli joined the show. Dan joked about the time he was offered an overnight shift in the early days of The Fan. We then got into the Pirates under Don Kelly and how the vibe is up, at least a little bit, with the guys in that clubhouse. Dan said he’s not sure if you can simply look at what the MLB club is doing before you decide about your GM. Andrew McCutchen made some history over the weekend and Dan called him the best Pirates player of our generation. He said Cutch is a fringe HOF player, but he isn’t sure he’d get quite enough to get in. Dan labeled McCutchen as the most important Pirate of nearly the last 50 years.
