Chakra Chat - Charlotte Kanyi (Healing Birth Trauma)

The Chakra Way Meditation Podcast - Podcast készítő Rosanne Nieboer

In this episode I talk to Charlotte Kanyi who helps people heal their birth trauma - both the trauma of giving birth but most importantly, the trauma of being born. This is obviously something that we have no conscious memory of but the energetic wounds of being born can echo through our lives as adults. Discovering what these traumas were, coming to terms with them and healing them is really fundamental and important work. This conversation was very personal for me. I didn't realise it until we started talking that I held quite so much guilt and trauma over the birth of my first child... I talk about this at the end of the podcast. Charlotte and I continued talking for some time after we finished recording and it was comforting just to know that this an area of my healing journey that I can work with.I am sure that it will touch a nerve with many of you. Especially mothers. It might be time to ask your own mother about your birth - some generations would not naturally discuss your actual birth. It may also be healing for you to talk to your children about it if they an age and stage where you feel they are ready to process the information. But I hope that you can find some nugget of information in your own story that will help you in your energy healing journey. As mothers we all do what we think is the right thing at every possible turn. Many mothers do not have much information, especially historically. So be gentle with yourself, with your mothers and start this journey full of compassion and love for yourself and your mother, who did the best she could! Please do contact Charlotte if this touched you and you want to work through your birth trauma with her. She is a beautiful soul and has some wonderful modalities at her fingertips to help you heal. Charlottes information can be found at birthessence.co.uk Here is the link to the NPA website And finally the link to the compassion key websiteMuch loveRosanne xxP.S. I have just found out that I have the info about Lotus birth a little bit wrong - it is an ancient indigenous tradition rather than a shamanic practice! Its origins are within the Maori culture but it is used within the Journey process - another wonderful healing work... P.P.S. The poem that I talked about is by Philip Larkin and I reprint below. I actually don't agree with his last line! Personally, having children has been my greatest joy, but I also know it's not for everyone... But the general sentiment of inherited trauma is rather neatly put, I feel! He wrote it in 1971 which gives it context of its times...This Be The VerseBY PHILIP LARKINThey fuck you up, your mum and dad.       They may not mean to, but they do.   They fill you with the faults they had    And add some extra, just for you.But they were fucked up in their turn    By fools in old-style hats and coats,   Who half the time were soppy-stern    And half at one another’s throats.Man hands on misery to man.    It deepens like a coastal shelf.Get out as early as you can,    And don’t have any kids yourself.Support the show Get bonus content on Patreon Hosted on Acast.
