In my newest article on Medium, I discuss the AI developments that I find the most compelling, beginning on January 9th, 2023. 1. AI Robot Lawyer It’s not too far off to think that a robot lawyer could be our reality in the near future. A startup called DoNotPay has created a chatbot program that helps people challenge parking tickets and execute other legal tasks. It has a simple interface that allows users to answer a few questions and the bot will do the rest and get the job done. What’s so amazing is that it’s free and works almost as well as a human lawyer would. The chatbot is now expanding its services, so it should soon be able to tackle other legal tasks as well. This could be an incredible development for people who don’t have access to legal services, especially in low-income communities. 2. AI Mimicking Human Voice Researchers have already developed an AI that can mimic a human voice. This AI is truly remarkable because it can take recordings of a person’s voice and speak just like that person. It’s like having a clone of yourself that can talk and carry on a conversation using your own voice. This technology has a lot of potential applications, including helping people with disabilities to communicate and providing a more personalized experience for customers. 3. AI Diagnosing Diseases AI has already been used in medical diagnosis for several years, and it’s continuing to get more accurate. Scientists have developed an AI algorithm that can diagnose diseases and conditions like skin cancer and heart disease. This is a major breakthrough because it can help doctors and other medical professionals make more accurate diagnoses. With this technology, doctors can give more personalized treatments to their patients and even help save lives. 4. AI Personal Assistants We’re all familiar with personal assistants like Siri and Alexa, but they’re just the tip of the iceberg. AI-powered personal assistants are becoming better and better at providing users with personalized experiences. These AI assistants can answer questions, find information, and even make decisions based on the user’s preferences. They can be incredibly useful for busy professionals who need help managing their daily tasks and schedules. 5. AI Talking to Animals The idea of talking to animals might seem far-fetched, but it’s actually becoming a reality. Scientists have developed an AI system that can recognize and respond to simple commands from dogs and cats. https://dhillemann.medium.com/mind-blowing-developments-in-ai-from-robot-lawyer-to-talking-to-animals-8c4ac25d412e
