Pivotal election in Sri Lanka to elect the next President

Millions of Sri Lankans will vote today in the first election since the country's worst economic crisis. President Ranil Wickremesinghe is seeking a fresh mandate, pointing to how the economy has stabilised after months of food and fuel shortages.
