Retired NYPD Inspector James Coan retired after 31 ears on the NYPD as the CO of the Aviation Unit. James Coan is also a retired Lieutenant colonel of the national guard. During Inspector Coan's 31 year police career he collected three medals of Valor along with numerous other departmental awards.
