The rise in the popularity of touchscreen Eftpos machines is leaving some blind low-vision New Zealanders with no option but to share their private details with strangers. The terminals are one of the newer rollouts in a decade of transition towards buttonless self-checkouts. But the advancement in technology means those who are vision impaired can no longer punch in their pin-code, if Paywave is not an option.
