“Jealous Type” was first teased via Doja’s X post of Vie’s updated tracklist. Later on, on April 13th, 2025, Doja teased a short snippet of the song on Instagram Live. In the lyrics, it seems that she’s confused about love and choices, feels jealous easily, and struggles with insecurity while dealing with an impatient relationship. According to her, she had trouble choosing whether “Gorgeous” or “Jealous Type” was her favorite song from her album Vie, stating: My favorite song on the album?
