When will the Dallas Stars fix their Defensive and Goaltending Problem??

The Dallas Stars played one of their worst games of the season last night and fell to the New Jersey Devils by a final score of 6-2. Most of today's episode of Locked On Stars, we breakdown the Stars inability to defend at a high level and voice frustrations of this reoccurring theme. The burning question is when does it change? The same problems and issues for the first month of the season are still happening. At a time the Stars should be building to the playoffs, this week feels like a step backwards and it will be their demise if it is not solved. From Miro Heiskanen to Jani Hakanpaa, it was not a good night for defensemen as well as Jake Oettinger who got pulled in the second period. Too many times this season, Oettinger has played below average, he has given up over three goals per game this season and has a save percentage below .900. On the bright side, Wyatt Johnston scored his 25th goal of the season and seems to be the only forward that could make anything happen offensively yesterday. Roope Hintz, Jason Robertson, Joe Pavelski and Matt Duchene all need to step up as well, but you can't rely on them to score seven after giving up six goals on 20 shots. Saturday night is Mike Modano night, he will have his statue unveiled prior to a game versus the Los Angelas Kings. The Stars have played two of their best games of the season against the Kings this season, hopefully we get that Dallas Stars team Saturday night.
