Tyler Seguin is Nearing a Return | The Dallas Stars take on the NHL's best Florida Panthers!

Pete DeBoer gave an update on Tyler Seguin yesterday, who has been out with a lower body injury since Feb. 22nd. Seguin is not ready yet, but nearing a return and they will keep an eye on him as the week goes on. On today's episode of Locked On Stars, Joey looks at the offensive numbers of the Stars without Tyler in the lineup. Matt Duchene and Mason Marchment have a combined five points in nine games during his absence, but the overall offensive numbers have not dipped as drastically. The uptick in offense from Jamie Benn, Wyatt Johnston and newcomer Logan Stankoven have helped, including a power play that is about 5% better over that stretch than this season. The Dallas Stars meet the best team in the NHL tonight in the Florida Panthers. Dallas kicks off a five game home stand and face the best defensive team in terms of Goals Against Average mainly due to Sergei Brobrovsky who has had a lot of success against Dallas. This is a team that plays a playoff style of game every night and will be a great test for the Stars defense that has slowly improved recently. To finish off the episode, we talk about Stars legend Mike Modano, who of course is having a statue of him being placed outside the American Airlines Center this Saturday.
