This set I made consists of some highlights of old tech house music, with some dark minimal and happy breakbeat rhythms I found during this digging session. The subtle background sounds are mixing perfectly with these groovy basslines, making you want to dance with all your body with your eyes closed, sending you to your own world perceived through these sounds. The first minutes of the set reminds you that you start this journey from earth, as you can hear the seagulls in the distance, but the virtualization of this world is starting slowly and gets wrapped with digital sounds. You can feel the journey by travelling the tunnel of bass, which gives you a hard shaking especially at the half of the set, followed by the mindblowing sounds of some old synths, dissolving the concept of time until the last quarter of the set, where a short disruption of the digital world is triggered by the vocals, which reminds us that happiness is a human feeling, and also these happiness-inducing tracks are made by humans. The last part of the set is a more calm and obscure one, with some nice melodic grooves, followed by a last, unexpected drop to wake you up from the trance and smile, reflecting at what you have witnessed and felt. About NiK About yourself: Hello! I am a student (18 years old) in the first year of university who fell in love with the music he listens to. As it sounds cliche, it actually saves me out of any sadness and enhances any happy moments I m living. I started listening to this kind of music 3 years ago and I have started making playlists since then, but got a little more involved in it a year after, when I bought my first dj console. After figuring out the basics and having some parties at friends' houses, along with the encouragements from them, I hosted my first (yet only) party last summer in my home town, Targu Mures, where I was feeling every second of happiness because people enjoyed my music. After that party, I knew playing music made me feel good, but seeing actual people dancing on my taste of music made me feel amazing. It made me even more curious and recently I started to learn to produce music. It is a little confusing sometimes, but I am trying my best and have no expectations, as the music I make and mix is mostly for me and the people, and not fame or money (it's not the case for any of them haha) Artist biography: DJ, aspiring music producer and enthusiast who will rather say he's having fun than working when he's playing music. Although his music taste is still developing, he focuses on strong, dark beats where a few drops of funky grooves are sometimes added to spice up the dancefloor along with the powerful basslines. His ultimate wish is that people enjoy the music he listens to as much as he does.
