Rav Yehuda delves into the opinions of Rabbi Meir, the rabbis and Rabbi Shimon and explains what there would hold about carrying from the various areas to each other - like roof to courtyard to enclosure. The gemara brings a proof to support Rav's view of the rabbis that one can only carry four cubits on the roof if it is adjacent to another. Rav disagrees with Shmuel and Rabbi Yochanan regarding whether Rabbi Shimon allows carrying between areas even in a case where the courtyard residents made a eruv or only in a case where no eruv was made?
