HOT TAKES: Returning to School?, Child Trafficking & the #freebritney Movement

The Mom Voice - Podcast készítő Sarah Bones & Lauren Willis

Jul. 17, 2020 – In this episode the girls sit down for a late night girl talk session to discuss the hot topics of the week. They open the show sharing what they're planning to do with their children when school starts again in a few weeks. (NOTE: their opinion shared in this episode is based on the news and stats that are available as of 7/16/20). They then move into the child trafficking news that exploded across social media this week and Lauren shares what she thinks might be behind this sudden uptick in the media coverage of it (#conspiracy). They both discuss how this is their worst nightmare as a parent and if there's anything we should all be coming together for it's our children! They even joke at the idea of chipping their kids (but is it a joke!?). The next hot take is on the #freebritney movement that's happening right now. They share the background on Britney Spears and the memories they have of her as a pop princess in the early 2000's and how things just gradually started to go downhill for her after that tragic breakup with JT! Sarah explains what a conservatorship means and why Britney's father still has all-out control over her whole life - and then they share their opinions on whether or not she should be 'freed'. They then wrap up the show sharing the shocking announcement that came out this week regarding Dancing With the Stars - one of their favorite Monday night shows. There's a new Executive Producer onboard who is promising big things - so what do you think? Will it be as good as they're promising? Or just another casualty of 2020? Thanks so much for tuning in! Sarah will be back with Lauren on Monday with Part 2 of the Love Language discussion!
