God still had a way of proving its movement, even in the smallest ways—and even though I thought myself to never be able to do it again, here I was in the midsts of another fast, whatever it meant and with no true other purpose than to form fit into whatever lmanaryndimwnaions or assignment I was l meant—the world not altogether loveless, still filled with the evils ans deficits of men which I neither needed nor wanted l—the reckless abandonment of everything I wanted to weighing and resting heavily on my shoulders. “When I touched the bottom, I knew I should have learned to swim…” ‘Oh my God.' The melody had been rolling around in my head for the past few days—a suprise even to me that anything besides the unlimited hours of deadmau5 that had been pouring through my headphones for now ten days from sunset to sunrise—or whenever I would summon up the energy to reawaken into my body and arise into the recently somehow slightly less Hellish surroundings—perhaps having adapted—not totally—but enough that I didn't always want to throw up just looking around or going about my minimal human upkeep, of course functioning at low capacity as it were, clocking in more hours in deadmau5 than in actual sleep, and now, maybe perhaps just to become dead enough just to reclaim a song I had left in my precious life—fasting once more. “That was it.” I couldn't remember the words, and so little of the melody had stayed with me after so much time and all that had happened in the l turbulent and tumultuous years since—it had indeed all started at Electric Daisy Carnival, my love for music becoming the only love I would keep in the coming time.
