AI Source Credit: Most Americans Support It, Especially Young Adults and Highly Educated Individuals

A Pew Research Center study revealed that over half of Americans believe generative AI programs like ChatGPT and DALL-E should credit their sources for information used, with 54% supporting source citation and only 14% against it. The same survey found that young adults are more likely to interact with AI frequently, while those with higher education levels also reported higher interaction rates.
