2nd Friday Great Compline

The Order of Great Compline for the Second Friday of the Great Fast.While in the Greek recensions (Greek, Melkite, Romanian, etc), it has become the custom to do Small Compline with a section of the Akathist Hymn on the first four Fridays of the Fast, the older practice still maintained by the Slavic Churches is to continue with Great Compline on the evenings of Fasting days, albeit in a more abridged manner with less singing. On Fridays we take the Canon of the Departed in the tone of the week.
