David Lapan served more than 30 years in the Marines and is now a fellow at the Bipartisan Policy Center in D.C. He has been the spokesperson at DHS, and served in similar roles at Dept. of Defense and the Pentagon. Dave also volunteers with TAPS (taps.org) which cares for the families of America’s fallen heroes.
