During an audition, Grace had a brief encounter with an assistant casting director who later approached her about hosting a TV show. Before a deal was in place she insisted on meeting with Grace on a regular basis, but when Grace's manager started to question inconsistencies and the lack of funding for the project the producer got rude and pushy. Grace not only discovered that this person had created a fake proposal and TV show, but she also had a criminal record and pathological past. After her manager urged Grace to cut ties with this person, the stalking behavior escalated as she tried to sabotage Grace's career and life.
