The Red River of the North is famous for its huge and plentiful channel catfish. Many a Paul Bunyan Country angler has ventured west for some serious catfishing on the Red. But if things go the way the DNR hopes, channel cats will not be the only lunkers lurking in the muddy waters of the Red. Lake Sturgeon are being reintroduced into the Red River Basin as well and that means the future could find alot of broken rods at the bottom of the river.
