Evil had begun to plague the region. A poison had set in, descending onto those who would dare journey through the fog enceloped mountain passes or along the lonely wooded roadways. People began disappearing at an alarming rate. At first, it was believed bandits had settled into the countryside, robbing, then killing their victims. However, once the numbers of those lost began to steadily increase from the tens, then into the hundreds, it became  clear the situation was far more dire than anyone could have anticipated.
