DO I NEED TO BE RENEWED? PT. 2 By MGL Missionaries of God's Love

2 Corinthians 4: 16 “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.” We might be growing old on the outside, but in the inside, we are being renewed every day. Isaiah 40: 31 “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” Those who have hope and trust the Lord will be renewed with their strength. “They will soar on wings like eagles;” The Lord gives us wings.  “they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Romans 12: 2 reads: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” St. Paul is inviting us to renew our mind and thoughts. Many believers need to change their ways of thinking. They struggle to see fruits from their spiritual life   “Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” Then Tito 3: 5 reads:  “he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done,” Rightousness refers holiness.  “but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit,” We were renewed because of the Holy Spirit. But there are some people who have not been renewed yet and we need to check ourselves. Talk to God and ask for His help. God loves people who are honest with Him, even if we are sinners. May we be those people.  Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will renew you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” The Lord makes us triumph. It is beautiful to know that we don’t always have to win, but it is Christ who will win in me. But of course, we need to put our part.  Colossians 3: 9 -10 “Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.” So if we have been renewed, stop sinning. Stop doing the old things we used to do. Tell God, Do I need to renew myself?  MGL Missionaries of God's Love
